David Tennant is drenched with water while shooting scenes on the River Avon for new romantic comedy You, Me and Him
He is best known for his portrayal of Doctor Who.
But David Tennant, 45, swapped sci-fi for romance as he continued filming the upcoming romcom, You, Me and Him, in the picturesque region of Stratford-upon-Avon on Tuesday morning.
The actor was watered down by cast members as he casually sat in a boat which was propped onto the River Avon.
Despite being drenched in water, the Scottish star looked in high spirits as he continued the grueling day of shoots.
David debuted his newly bearded face while his soaked clothes clung onto his lithe and lean physique, despite his attempts to dry off with an array of towels.
The Hamlet actor rocked slim-fit black trousers and an olive-coloured cargo jacket, while accessorising with a layer of pendant necklaces.
Earlier this month, the Broachchurch star was seen shooting scenes alongside his co-star Lucy Punch, as they filmed around a lake in Warwickshire.
The movie, which is set for release in 2017, follows the lives of two women who fall in love, despite their age difference, and their desire to have a baby.
But once they befriend David’s character, John, they begin to make some truly disastrous decisions leading to utter mayhem.
Speaking about the film, The Doctor Who star said: ‘Daisy Aitkens has written a brilliant, funny, surprising and moving script and I am delighted that she has asked me to be in her first feature – as she is clearly going to be making many, many more and I want to be in all of them.
‘And I am very pleased to be working with Bad Penny again, a company that represents all that is good and exciting in young British filmmaking. Thanks for having me!’
